Early demo for a snake roguelike im working on.

                                                                                                                                                                                         

How to Play:

WASD or Arrow Keys to Move.

Eat Apples to increase your score.

Reaching the reqiured score spawns a flag that allows you to go to the store.

Each apple gives you a coin, each appple over the limit gives you one additonal coin.

Coins are used to buy upgrades in the shop that change the way you play.

Nice, sad the shop only has a tiny amount of items, might be nice if you could get duplicators of items and they change color to symbolize current amount.IE ghost only gives last 5 of your tail per, or a Spike eater that lets you eat 1 spike as if it was a apple per level.

the new sprites are great, and the game feels much better now


new feedback:

  • change the color of the flag to make it more visible
  • when something spawns, add a little particle effect of that color to make it more clear
  • multiple orchards don't seem to stack properly (not sure about other item stacks)

I'm really enjoying seeing how this game is developing!

Store never opened... said 5 got to 10

After reaching the reqiured score a flag spawns, you need to "eat" the flag to enter the store.

Saw no flag, but ill try again and give it a go.

Played full screen this time and could see the flag now.
Main problem is its same color as the spikes...

A few bits of feedback: 

  • if you try to turn twice too quickly, you turn back on yourself and die and that's really annoying
  • instead of 1 coin per bonus apple, I suggest doing 1 coin per apple, +1 extra per bonus apple
  • it would be nice to have some little thing a the front of the snake showing what direction you're facing
